Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

kitenski, Proabably ignorance. Sad

Pamski, I too did the run down to Ardent with my daughter and that one was fine, I'm guessing it doesn't suffer so much as it doesn't really go anywhere.

I guess, when i posted this, i was a little p1ssed off after a great day playing in knee deep powder and my route home took me via slopes that made me think FFS i can't be bothered with this sh1te.
Now i am home and on my sofa..................

I find the hardest stuff to ski in is about 10" of really wet, heavy dumped stuff, unbashed in zero vis, a la VT's finest April offerings.

If you don't get on well with chewed up and moguled slopes, you may find off-piste tough. Powder is rare and 90% off-piste skiing involves crud and moguls.

I think most people seem to want perfectly manicured motorways rather than mountains. Tbh I am the same if I'm on race skis.

Dr Rock, Lucky you, you will have a whale of a time - I'd go every year if I could, but I did be lying if I said that I'd never seen some big dumps of heavy white stuff there from time to time.

Hmm reading the above most of us seem to have voted NOT manicured? Maybe it's time to stop with the piste bashing NehNeh

I love the feeling of carving through the crud. It's great for balance control and technique.
