Fab skiing for the last few days, the temp at the funicular in La Daille was registering 7C this morning, no wonder I was a little on the warm side
Snowed yesterday morning none today but you never know, all is good

alan empty, just got home and I think I timed it all to perfection - both from Bristol and Geneva! It was not very cold this morning though at 6 am in Le Lac and quite warm and raining in Geneva at 8.30 am. Excellent conditions from 16th to 22nd though and fun for all in the fluffy stuff ! Talk of rain at resort level though

rayscoops, looks like temperatures may be dropping again at the weekend so I should be OK (hope they'll be some more fluffy stuff next week though). And a few warmer days to clear the airports is no bad thing!

Flat light and the odd flury of snow best describes the conditions in Tignes this morning. Haven't ventured over to val d'seire yet, but the conditions seem worse when heading in that direction.

alan empty, I found that the runs on the mountain area (above Le Lac) of Grand Huit, Aiguille Percee, Palafour, Chaudannes, Aiguille Rouge & Du Maris etc had the best pistes - soft but grippy rather than the hard and windswept pistes of Val Claret and Val D. Great snow base though and I am sure things will be great for you

stewart woodward, excellent, a few days ago it was -7 deg C at a Val Claret lift and the next day or so it was 0 deg C at the same lift; good that the temps are due to stay low. I had a great 5 days on my board with the exception of Le Face on the morning of 21st, so if I scared anywhen when I whizzed past on my &rse (twice) apologies, and if I entertained anyone then it was my pleasure !! During the slides I did think to myself ... maybe I should get a helmet

It snowed pretty much all night, letting up for an hour and a half this morning. By the time the lifts opened, it was dnowing again. Headed up Tufs and down to Les Menuires. As you'd expect, there is some lovely powder, if you can see it, total White out. It is better around Le Lac, but still poor visibility the higher you go.

Chucking down all day so we have retired to the bar, with no injuries and pride intact. Soft as feathers on the pistes, heaven off them, but very poor kept reining us in.
Tomorrow promises to be amazing. As does the rest of the week.
Rorie, the beers are on me.

After yesterday's snow, today was one of the best days I have ever had in EK (one of the best days anywhere actuall). I spent most of it above Fornet but it was epic everywhere we went.

Today was probably the best day of the season so far. Fresh powder, clear blue skies & quiet pistes
Rorie & myself had a tour of the Espace killy taking in some awesome pistes and fresh tracks in the off

Tollpepper, I totally agree, the weather couldn't be better.
We are avoiding the heavy traffic routes in the afternoons, such as H and are still finding good snow all day.
Yesterday's 4pm queue at Thomuesses was horrendous and if we hadn't been with Rorie we wouldn't have made Chaudannes in time. As it was, they closed it behind us. Otherwise queues are very small and almost non existent today, even to the glacier. This was a good thing as Double M is the jewel of the resort at the moment, along with the whole of Fornet which is also empty.
loving it and Two days left. Then back on 19th

Lots colder today and lots of canon snow every where but a good day and totally deserted as the Frebch were heading home.
The snow canons are going mental this evening, so much so that it is snowing in Les Boisses with the sky full of tiny diamonds.

Woke up in Brides Les Bains at 7 am. On the Palafour lift at 10. All the traffic going in the other direction gave me a clue that Tignes would be quiet.
Blue skies, sunshine and just about enough snow on the pistes. Perfect start to the week. All we really need is for the natural snow to fall uninterrupted from six pm to six am a couple of nights.

We were on the traverse to ski 'Le Plan de La Tourne' Accessed from the Aguille Percee chair lift. The picture is looking south west with Grand Motte in the far distance.

Another glorious day in the Espace Killy. The pistes are holding up well on artificial snow but there is lots of grass showing through just off to the side. No significant snow forecast any time soon.

that surprises me. We were skiing in Crest Voland today (1200m base) and there was not a blade of grass to be seen. But whilst it will be raining in CV later this week all but the lowest parts of the Espace Killy should get some snow.
