First day in Saalbach today, and a great start despite the pistes being very hard first thing due to the -15C temperature at the top. The pistes softened during the day, and were very good from noon onwards. Some areas are showing the lack of fresh snow, but the cannons are running almost permanently and several of the main runs had surprise stashes of powder as a result.
The forecast doesn't hold out much hope of a new dump this week, with just 1cm forecast on Wednesday and the rest to be blue skies and seasonal temperatures.

Flachau Winkl yesterday, knee deep dry powder towards the top. Haus today, still plenty of powder to be skied and we did.

Kersh, which forecast are you using? BTW I've hired a car for 31st Jan to nip over to Bad Gastein; there's a few places to look at - I'll probably email you from my hotmail account about locations etc.

red 27, I didn't say how much.  However the Gasteinertal website reckons it will snow every day this week, most being Weds & Thurs. I'm sure they use the info from www.wetter.at

We come out this Saturday, and I've been browsing all the various forecasts, taking it all with a pinch of salt, as usual. However, they all say the same thing, snow pretty much all week, especially in the Tirol.
As Kersh says, it's the "how much" that's the variable. I've seen anything from a couple of inches to more than a foot forecast, but as I'm a lucky so-and-so who has a history of catching good snowfall, I reckon it'll be a foot, or more.

well, looking at the webcams it looks like it is snowing pretty heavily in zell am see, obertauern and zillertal. st anton, where i am bound on sunday, doesn't look to be getting quite the same treatment but still looks like snow. i'm really hoping that some of the pessimism and talk of only light dustings on some forecasts turns out to be misplaced.
any on the ground info always hugely appreciated!
