I know, just saw that. The north atlantic pressure charts show the high pressure sticking around over the alps for this week at least so no chance of snow if that's the case.

Everywhere is open in tignes bar 1 chair.
La Sache has lots of rocks.. and twigs stucking out for that matter. 
The val glacier has brilliant brilliant snow on piste as Peter S said. Pistes with sun exposure are fantastic, others are a little icy.

Peter S, The run down from La Sache down to Breviers is open but is very ropey, especially for boarders. The blue is simple enough, although very flat, but the red on the other side is steep sheet ice (most of which was done on my ar$e!). I didn't see the Reading team but did see the Italians skiing in leopard skin thongs (could be Spanish I guess, def' not British as bums too tanned!).

Looks like there could be a good dumpage over the weekend, really, really want the conditions to be great for when we arrive on the 12th. My last two skiing hols really were a let down because of the poor conditions

Got back yesterday. The on piste snow is great and holding up well due to the cold temperatures, off piste is very tracked out but fun nonetheless. 
The only ice we found was right down at 1550 in Les Boisses and Les Brevieres, and then only small patches. The Sache black run (1800m vertical), The Face in Val, and Le Spot freeride area were the highlights for me.
