Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I hope you're right about more snow tonight, Boredsurfing, it's horrible when new guests arrive and everyone's talking about the icy descent back into the village. Fingers crossed.

Meteo France local weather forecast which was carried on local radio talked of an overcast day with a little snowfall. I reckon we have had at least 4 inches in the village so far today and it is still throwing it down snowHead

Looking pretty damp this morning. Snow has stopped but skies look threatening. If we believe snow forecast.com it will rain at village level today as freezing levels rising. Currently 2.8 degrees on our balcony so who knowa what sort of precipitation we will have today. Snow up high for sure.

coolhandluke, Montalbert is so cool that there is no connection that late, last lift is last lift but I am told that you can ski back to Montalbert after happy hour in Plagne Centre Toofy Grin

But if you are in Montalbert L'Abrevoir happy hour from 16.30 to 18:00 is pretty good Toofy Grin

coolhandluke, as Boredsurfing, says there is no bus directly between the resorts but well worth a day time ski to Montalbert.

Currently chucking it down with SNOW at village level (1450) and a change from the rain of the last 24 hours. Looking good for the last day of the year and the beginning of next!

coolhandluke, Sounds like you are in belle Plagne, they do have three ski set shops and Balcons is accommodation here. I would highly recommend a run down to Montalbert, the snow is not as good as around Belle Plagne but that is part of the fun. It's often pretty with tree lined runs.

May I recommend le Forperet on the way down. Clearly signposted on the runs down. Fab spot and if you pick a nice weather day fab views too.

Today has snowed incessantly all day. Skied LP this morning and snow much improved with this fall. Runs to the village ok but a bit icy in places and not the most enjoyable runs. It has got quite cold and the forecast is for the cold spell to last with snow Sunday, Monday.

redrunmarcus, welcome and see you in L'Ab or Fifties later... we have indeed woken up to about 20cm this morning and it is still falling. I have strategically positioned my laptop by our chalet window so this really is a first hand latest report. My guess is this dump will finally enable them to open our favourite forest runs namely Bois de Crozelin and Raclisse, both of which have been closed this season to date. I am out on the slopes at 1pm after Mouth juniors lesson so will update later.
