waynos, just heading up the hill now. Yesterday took the fat skis in the hope of finding some untracked, but it was all well tracked out  Weather feels very ominous, heavy grey skies and still way too warm., plus 1 at 1600m .
Yesterday skied in Kleinarl as Zauch and Flachauwinkl were really busy, they pisted runs were great, very grippy, but after the mid station, as expected grainy.
LB skied over in Mariapfarr(Fanningberg) which is just about on the SuperSki card, and he said it was amazing, no people at all, and powder, never been over there as it´s a bit of a trek, 50 mins I think from here, but will have a look next week, could be a good tip if we want to avoid the crowds at the weekends

Just saw on snowforecast that it will be as low as -19 next Wed afternoon. I'm in schladming/rohrmoos the following week. I'm more used to March / Spring skiing and was hoping for some sunny days. Unless it warms up I'll have to look at my ski wardrobe, burrrrrrrr!
Anyone out there the coming week might post what the conditions are like. Light snow is forecast but I guess if its so cold the snow canons will be blasting away.

Speedster,skied Wagrain/St Johann(Pongau) pistes were tip top today, haven´t had better all season, still fairly busy though so they got a bit scraped by the late afternoon, but we are forecast snow tonight.
Off piste there is still a bit to be had.
It has got a lot colder, the snow guns were on in force all day leaving huge drifts of snow which gave Mr Holidaylover, Tarquin and me a highly amusing last run down

We skied radstadt today as our first couple of runs of the week.. Very nice to the mid mountain then a bit bobbly/ scraped lower down as the afternoon wore on. Didn't feel cold in the sunshine but also cold enough for the cannons.

We had a great day today in Zauchensee and Flachauwinkel, with some of the best conditions we've ever had in this area first thing, then getting scraped at the end of the day. Off to Wagrain for the day tomorrow...

Snowing hard today in Zauchensee, 3-4 inches at least, with low vis and poor contrast as a result. Pistes were holding up well, but becoming mounded after lunch, and very cold. Many people seemed to bail at 2pm.

Scarpa, a week before QB or the week after. We will be there at half term in Feb as FraserP, try to leave some snow for us, and please have a go at educating the weather - we would like to book over-night top ups of around 5" each night and then blue sky days to ski in

Scarpa, We have wheels and will be dropping in on another snowHead in ZamS sometime between 2/2 and 9/2. When do you go out with your mates to ZamS?
I'm currently snowed in - howzzat for a result not!

A good day today  snow lightly pretty much all day. Pistes round Flachauwinkl and Zauchensee generally very nice indeed. -13 at 1900 apparently although I wouldn't have called it as anywhere near that cold. Rather liking it here!

Epic day today in Wagrain. Black piste with knee deep powder, and some patches of piste side were thigh deep. Lots of off-piste in great conditions, but -10 and blowing snow to deter the casual skiers. Visibility ok, but contrast low. Still snowing at midnight, but sun forecast for Friday afternoon. Back to Flachauwinkel & Zauchensee for us tomorrow.

Fabulous on piste conditions at flachauwinkel and kleinarl. Hero snow, lovely cruising for the last day. I just love this place!

Wonderful last day in Flachauwinkel with waist deep powder in much of The Stash and on the sides of the runs down to Kleinarl. Pistes in good condition, mainly packed but with some mounds. One more great holiday in the Ski Amade!

Just back from Filzmoos after 5 years with no skiing. Lovely conditions. there is a hard base and it snowed most nights adding about 3 inches of powder for the morning.
Hardly anyone there and often no more than 5 to 10 people on a slope. Sometimes none at all.
We were a group of eight. Four were uncertain sixty year olds coming back to gentle skiing and it suited them very well as they gained confidence on mainly blue runs and well pisted red runs.
I paired up with a double knee replacement and we had fun perfecting our turns in perfect conditions.
Filzmoos is a pretty village and has great charm. Yes it is limited skiing but suited us.
I am now ready to tackle Les arcs in March
The weather cleared for the balloon festival and at least 12 balloons went up.
A day trip to Flachau gave more choice but at the expense of crowds, ski school trains and mad skiers.
