Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sick of the feckin stuff. Costing us a lot of money at work, no rugby on at all. We have a foot in places and it is not welcome any more.

It's been chucking it down in Purley this morning - 3 or 4 inches. Thinking of getting some cheap second hand skis for UK use (got boots but hire skis for my one week in the Alps).
Rather moot as as I'm stuck inside decorating at the mo' Sad

Frosty the Snowman, ok when you can ski on it in the Alps, or it's the weekend. OUr dog is still loving it. I'm not so keen on having to go to a different branch, and be at work later in the evening as a result.

Loads of snow in Sheffield. pretty much every school shut today, but did we get a snow day? No chance - although they did let us go home at 3.30pm.

Got a new set of tyres on the car. £50 each for winters, and they are ace Smile

My evening class cancelled in Guildford. It's not bad - but there are a few scary hills in the town.

Had a fair old dump in the peak district, saw a load of boarders near Mam Tor earlier today.

I went skiing up at Ringinglow tonight, just made a small kicker and had a play around. Tomorrow will probably be a lot better as it is tipping it down with snow!

we've had a few cm of snow in surrey. My husband has so far taken 5 hours to get home from work in the city (should be 1 hr 20 by train). A signalling problem, stuck for hours behind a broken down train and now on the last leg there is a power cut on the line! rolling eyes

Snow arrived in east Ayrshire on Saturday. About 2-3 inches, but travel down to south Ayrshire and there's barely a dusting. Weird.

We measured the snow depth in the works car park this afternoon, an impressive 16cm!! Just a shame the drive home from work (only 14 miles) took almost 2 hours what with the numerous crashes, breakdowns and abandoned vehicles. I was hoping last January/February might have taught people something.

Anyway, the forecast says more snow all day tomorrow and further light snow on Thursday. Our depth gauge might get higher yet.

Finally have some snow in SE London/Kent. It has taken me 8 hours to drive 15 miles home from work though! (including abandoning my car on a country lane and walking the last couple of miles).

Currently looks like about 15cm but it's still snowing.

Just been on the m1 18 miles north of sheffield and it was horrendous. 20'mph and literally zero visability, total whiteout conditions. Just arrived back home in Manchester and there is the few mm that fell last night, that's all we have had.

I think our local radio station (Humberside) would be better advised to list any schools that are open than the closed list they just read out Shocked . Even Grimsby Institute of FE/HE is closed - which is where I'm due tomorrow & Fri. There are no trains running and Scunthorpe just announced there are no buses running & A180 into Grimsby is blocked. About the only thing running are the ferries due into Hull this morning - but where the passengers go when they get chucked off I have no idea... hopefully they'll let them stay on board for a bit if they're stuck.

I am thinking a 12" ruler might disappear. The radio's just reported the Humber Bridge is now blocked northbound.

Blimey - things are so bad in Grimsby hospital they've put out a request on the radio for anybody with a 4x4 to help collect medical staff and take them in to work.
