I would have been gutted having got through the falling snow to Docklands if it weren't falling in La Ros. But it is!

boredsurfin, there is a long queue for the drag-lift visible on the webcam so you are probably right that there is very limited skiing available - but if they were sat indoors I am sure that they would be on-line looking for sympathy!

just back from la Ros on Sat 10 - there was about 12in of snow at the top over wed/thur and it was raining hard in Chambery when we departed (presumably snow higher up) - We had perfect weather and skiing on friday - our last day - so im sure anyone going this week or next will have plenty of fun - never did work out where that cam was pointing from so i could do some graffiti on it!!, although instructor did suggest they were looking into getting a better one for next season. By the way, the only queue we had was at the drag on the cam, but only after the main lift closed for the day. great wee place. Would recommend Twinner for rentals - they were super helpful - although you may wish to take adv of internet discounts and pre book.

A guy who sits by me in work has just gone out to La Rosiere with his family based entirely on my recommendation from my last 2 trips!
He flew out on Saturday evening and judging by the webcams and the comment in the text above, I'm guessing he'll be having a pretty crappy time so far.

No snow for ages, people panicking and cancelling their holidays. And now this! Ridiculous dumps of snow and horrendous weather.
