Mistress Panda, yep, one pass for the whole area. Depending on exchange rates that *might* also be cheaper booked via the TO if booked in advance, but it will be marginal. They have 3 different prices for different dates, stanton's link shows all the details. I would either pre-book if it looks like a good deal or buy at the kiosk (if they look busy go to the Rendlbahn station and buy there, it's only 50m away from the Galzigbahn but it's usually much quieter). €204 is correct for 6 days ending before the 21st of Dec, the 21st itself is high season so if your pass covers that day it will be a little bit more (when passes cross over into a different season they pro-rate the cost based on the 2 different rates).

stanton,
Thanks very much for all your updates - I'm planning to come to St Anton in mid-April (have been 4 times before but always earlier in the season) ...
Is it too late as far as you're concerned or shall I just stick with it and make the most of it?
Will Lech / Zuers still be opne then?
Thanks

franga, season end is 27/4, that applies to all areas except Sonnenkopf which closes earlier. It is not too late, I've had excellent skiing there in April several times. Lower slopes will be thin and conditions could be slushy in the afternoon, on the other hand you might have powder high up or perfect corn snow. Best of all it will be quiet!

Easter is late this sesson April 20/21 so will be relatively busy.
Snow as always that late is soft & heavy below 2200 Metre by 11.00. Stick to the North facing slopes.
Always great fohnschnee conditions.
Had some of the best Powder days in April
Lech Zurs will be open

Maybe busy relative to normal April, but compared to the main season it will be quiet. When Easter is late a lot of folks give up on skiing (they worry it will be too warm I guess).

Rumours of early opening lifts have been around for about a week, piste bashers going up on Osthang along with the cannons as I type so may well happen, nothing been said by either the TVB or the bergbahnen yet. Chilly again here tonight although doesn't feel as bad as last night (-1

Weekend weather will remain cold.
Next week it looks like we will experience a temperature inversion
Freeze level aroung 2500-3000M but cool in the Valley.
May only last a few days.

Folks.
Huge Low (cold front) & Snow coming for this coming Opening Weekend.
Will be warm until Friday.
Bring it on!

Hopefully a bit of a thaw and strong wind will destroy the surface hoar that's formed; otherwise things could be a bit unstable for a while if fresh snow covers it. Long term forecast looks very good indeed

Apparently Pettneu is supposed to be opening up some time later this month. No longer part of the Arlberg pass, but from what I've heard they are negotiating with the lifts in St Anton to allow Pettneu season pass holders to ski St Anton a couple of times (note, not the whole Arlberg).
|
|
|
|
|
|
Sitter, seems a tad skewed, I would have bought they'd want Arlberg punters to ski Pettneu and thus spend money in their restaurants/ bars/ shops etc not the other way round?

njl1968, stayed there my second ever ski holiday, a long time ago. IIRC it is up the mountain from Pettneu. It was a chairlift ride from town.

Markymark29, not sure of the exact details! just something that came up in conversation with a friend living in Pettneu this season. Whether they have a reciprocal agreement with the lift pass for those who live in Anton (they can get a cheaper one that only covers the lots in St Anton), or they don't want to re-include it with the Warth link only just opening for this season I don't know. I'll post once I know more.

It is indeed up from the town, although it is currently a shuttle to/from the hotel as the lifts aren't running, but as my post above says, they may be reopening the Pettneu ski area.

Sitter,
All depends on if the nature conservation license (landowners & the owners of the Gondola in Vienna) are granted.
Amazing they leave these negotiations until the last minute.
Kind of liked the area while it was closed good skinup & private powder all the way down

Been very little actually open today because of the weather. Basically just Galzigbahn, Nassereinbahn, gampenbahn and Mattunbahn (plus some of the button lifts) and not many pistes lower down open either.
