Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

mucho better today, the piste preparation was superb and we had a bit colder conditions with blue skies, thin but grippy base over the ice so all is well. rumour has it a dump is on the way but clear skies so we shall see.

kitenski, I was. That was posted at coffee break from the Panoramic restaurant. It continued to snow during the afternoon, although was a bit windy. Raining/sleeting heavily in Val Claret on our way down, so fingers crossed that tomorrow will be epic for our last day on this trip.

Was thinking about tignes today, as I drove up from Albertville - it was raining really heavily. Hope it was snowy up there and everyone had fun.

Sleety snow at 1800m in Tignes Les Boisses, amounting to a few centimetres of snow. It still coming down, so should be good on the glacier tomorrow. Considering it's October it might be epic Happy

First train up is 8.30am I think, but is full of mini racers so is best avoided. So any time from 9.00pm onwards is better. Lifts on the glacier close at 2.45pm, with the last train down at 3.30pm.

Still keeping in the loop... My wife's friends said it was awesome today! That's the best I can do until the weekend. I think Stewart Woodward is buying the coffee. I can pay at 2100 metres, but an altitude of 3200m is way past my price point. Marc de Savoie on the other hand...

It was very pleasant, with very little wind. Mostly around zero degrees while we were there, but a bit colder yesterday and today (-10 at 9.30am today).

Hi Guys

Mrs W & myself arrived back in Tignes last saturday, 22nd, so i thought it was about time i gave a little update.

The weather has been very warm and sunny all last week except for Tuesday,25th, when we had snow on the glacier and rain in the village for most of the day. On Friday i skied most of the day in a thin jacket and no gloves as it was so warm Very Happy
The piste prep on the glacier is superb to allow great skiing in the mornings, which becomes a little more icy in the afternoons. The French mens World Cup team have been showing us mortals how to ski slalom on the icyiest pitches they can find whilst the Scottish team have also been showing their skills. The French ladies Telemark team have been practicing GS and winning lots of praise for both their skills and looks wink

Rossolin is still closed due to the lack of snow on the lift track but 3500, Champagny & the Telecabin are open. All with suprisingly few queues for half term week.

My week was taken up running a junior race group for snoworks. My 'group' consisted of Zak & Freddie (4 years old) and Amy & Luca (6 years old) Very Happy We had a great time free skiing and doing GS gates around 3500. The kids don't know that 3500 is steep and icy, they just get on with it Laughing Sorry no photo's as i literally had my hands full all week rolling eyes

This weeks weather forecast is for more sun and possibly some snow Thursday/Friday so hopefully some snowy photo's later in the week.

stewart woodward, Bit tough if you don't like gates wink Nice to see you settling in for the season Stewart. Claire & i will be seeing you a little sooner than usual this season. We're due out for a week on the 9th of Dec. Originally planned a Snoworks week but costs derailed that plan. Staying in Val Claret that week but just a short bus ride to the Alpaka Madeye-Smiley .
Just need to relax and stop checking the cams/weather now. Never had a bad week in the Espace Killy so i should stop worrying.

ps, say hi to Elaine.

It's snowing this morning on the glacier Very Happy but it's also pretty windy Sad Champagny & 3500 lifts are open but it is too windy for the cable car.

Looks like we are going to get lots of snow today & over the weekend at high levels but rain/sleet in the village.
