Frosty, Mosha Marc, I cant and wont take the credit......Carled drew those up for me about a week ago. The man is a weather god. I only had to sacrifice one little chicken, some frog spawn, a hairy newt and my son's left ear and it has snowed for me today.

ickabodblue, Madesimo looks good for a dump of snow mid-week next week as well
Hurtle, well if the big dump comes off mid-week next week then you should be set fair for your week. Good chance of some clear skies, slightly warmer (but not disastrous) temperatures and maybe the odd dump-ling (slightly bigger than a dump-let) here and there sporadically. Need another week of watching to be more accurate though.
Fruity, glad to see the snow arrived in KG - very happy for you. Have a  in celebration. Did you get permission to reproduce the author's wiggly graffiti on that chart, by the way...? 
cathy, yep. Looks promising alright. Trouble is it's a bit of a knife-edge north/south issue as the front is oriented in that direction. It only takes a shift of a couple of hundred km (in meteorological terms, not much) either way to move that precipitation a long way elsewhere... watch and wait, but certainly better than looking at nothing and hoping for something to arrive, eh?

I sense a real love hate thing going on here. I am really quite impressed that a discussion on snow fall (notice no exact amount given), can become so heated.
I am fairly new here but what causes more angst amongst posters - weather outlokk thread or the prickly subject of helmets.

You (not for the first time) posted a glum sort of post, this time saying "so it's only going to be a few cm" and had a sad smiley. You have since removed the sad smiley from your post (or someone has). That characterizes the post as being negative. It was also a stupid question as, if you've been keeping up, no-one knows how many cm will fall. I have a low tolerance for stupidity. Particularly continued stupidity. You don't want the abuse? Then don't rattle my cage.

I notice that you managed to completely miss Pam W's point as well in that she was pointing out that, had you paid much attention to this thread, you'd have seen that neither I nor Brian ever predict any exact amounts of snow, as it's impossible to do and yet, in response to her point, you say you have been reading the thread since December and that she is, in fact, agreeing with you...?
So to recap, you have been reading the thread for months and yet you still seem to think that I believe I can predict how much snow can fall? Is English your second language? If so, I apologise profusely. If not, you are dumber than spam fritters.
