Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Coming to this thread 15 years late! but can confirm that Hammerheads are great and don’t be put off by their non release ability! Despite big falls i never seem to load the knee because of the freeheels. Cool

I’m Considering buying the updated hammerhead, called the ‘Vice’. I’m assuming it will be at least as good. Haven’t really played with the underfoot adjustment on my hammerheads. Does it make much difference ?

Had a couple of hours on my new set up and first thoughts are very very positive. The Meidjos are very stiff laterally and I love the fact that you can easily dial in the spring pressure to set the active level. First go I went very light with only a single spring and they felt almost like my old cable bindings. Second session put both springs in and wound em to mid point and they skied very much like the 7TM binders.

Only downside was I managed to break a piece off the brake through operator error. When you press down to clip in you MUST have the bindings pulled up. Not a disaster and the plastic is more of a guide than anything but bummed I messed one ski up.
