Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Frosty the Snowman, late Jan in Saalbach could be good. Doubt your Mrs or the nippers would be too impressed tho Wink

Seriously, if you are looking for another holiday, I think about the 2nd-3rd week in January is about as cheap as it gets, and conditions are usually pretty good then. As I said one time b4, I reckon your kids would love Switzerland just for the novelty of getting a train to the slopes rather than a lift in the mornings.

BTW, who's yer sig supposed to be about? Little Angel

Well, just booked my last trip for next season (in Bold). My trips for next season:

23rd December a week in Zermatt
26th Jan, 9 days in Austria, 6 in Saalbach, 3 in Zell Am See
10th March, 8 days in St Anton (our mate is running a hotel there again)
End of April - the Eosb of course!

Don't know if anyone has found em yet, but there are Manchester - Salzburg flights available on Flythomson. That's what we're using for the St Anton and Saalbach journeys, at a whopping 23 pence each way!!!!

Charlatanefc, thanks for the tip, we are probably going to book Bournemouth to Salzburg a week earlier for £2.50, plus taxes of course but it still comes in at £87 for 2 people. We'll probably end up in Zell or Saalbach area. Did you have any problems booking a hotel etc? Can you give us any suggestions as we sometimes struggle with the tour ops taking up allocation.

The depressing outlook on the climate front is that we are all going to be competing with each other before long for space on a rapidly receeding snowline.

Therefore I've booked 4 trips thus far; snowHead

VDI first week of the season
Chamonix for a weekend at the beggining of March
St Anton for a week at the end of March
and hopefully 3 days or so in Cham for the last week of the season in May

Should leave plenty of time for some local skiing and whatever the Scottish hills provide this year.

Of course rushing to consume more and more holidays simply means consuming more jet fuel and energy even more quickly, thereby hastening the despise of our sport Sad

I'm just checking out the season pass. If I buy before the 1st November, we get a Summer Pass free of charge, 25% off the season pass rate, and it's the equivalent of just over three weeks skiing. I can also use it for some time at LDA, ADH, Montgenvre, Puy St Vincent.

garywilk, It's not just the European Hotels, it normally takes me two emails to the Hotel we're staying at in Canada to get a reply.

The service once you're into a dialogue with them is brilliant - it's just getting that first response.
