Snow Reports

Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know what the name for the clip on things they use for the Snow Cross event? Have struggled to find them online, they look quite fun to stick in the luggage one year!
Obviously

@larkim
, someone posted about it on the other Jump thread, apparently they're called Snowskates

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If it wasn't for Sky+ it would be unwatchable. I can't believe Davina is such a vacuous, immature, idiotic wold-class irritant in real life, so why she feels the need to take on that persona in front of camera is a mystery. The 'slebs aren't much better either.
That's entertainment! Well for Sun readers anyway. I really do think there are limits as to what should be allowed as "reality show" activities. Clearly, ski jumping is dangerous and should only be attempted by those with a talent for it and who have undertaken proper training. Eddie Edwards was much better than many people think imv. The idea that anyone can attempt anything with minimal training is nonsense. The show should be pulled. I wonder if Beth Tweddle and other injured participants will regret doing it a few years down the line when the likely recurring twinges or pain will remind them of it.
Twinges and pain? To a gimnast? I bet she had none of these before the jump.

I do enjoy watching it, although I don't think viewers really appreciate the balls it takes to do some of the events.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

There are already quite a few 'celebrities' confirmed so far although I've no idea who many of them are.
Louis Smith is taking part which does surprise me. I'd have thought anyone who's career depended on being physically fit would have walked away when offered a place.
