The Chaudanne, and the Saulire Express lift station, this afternoon. The new lift was running, but only for ski patrol. Still snowing, and the snow cannons are fired up !

griffterski, Well there's a lot of snow already, and it looks like there will be a lot more in the next week or so. Temperatures staying low, about 5-10 deg below average. Avalanche risk will be high.

It's still snowing.......
.... another 10cm overnight, here at 700m. Temperature currently +1 deg. Snow forecast to continue during the day, with tempertures falling.

Sunny in VT now! Absolutely brilliant snow, shame more pistes aren't open. Looks like much more will be open by the weekend though.
+15 in the sun, -10 when the clouds come over.

Minus 2 at 700m this morning, and very calm. Skies are overcast, and the storm is due to arrive late morning, bring as much as another 50cm of snow.
We are only 24 hours away from Méribel and Courchevel opening too

Lift company in Meribel are saying that the links to the Courchevel and VT valleys will be closed Saturday and probably Sunday as they will need to time to secure the slopes from the snow that is due to arrive this weekend.
