Not a "what winter tyre thread". If you want to see the merits of winter tyres use the search function jong!!!.
This afternoon I was driving merrily along (not under the influence I might add) and behold, by the Saltaire round about a sign, glowing like a beacon....... ok more of a cheap A board stating "winter tyres, order now".
One checking these guys out they were cheaper by £20 per corner for Vredesteins than the next best quote I've had. Nothing in it for me here, just a good supplier I thought I'd share. If you call them, say you're a snowhead and ask for Damion.

nbt, for sure. It was like being a kid in a sweet shop. OK I'm weird, but a warehouse full of winter tyres does it for me. It signals the start of winter. I'd imagine at their prices, they'll be busy.

They are good and sell loads, it is right next to a place I do some work for. I got my normal tyres there and it was very good price and fitting service was good too.
He has huge stock ! Must be hoping that snow comes again this year

My tires.....used them last year, drove to Oberstdorf (heavy snow during our stay) and they were fine, and I bought the budget ones - Nankang

I tried them and the guy was nice enough and their prices were good but he didn't have and couldn't seem to get my size. I ended up using Tyre Men again, very good service and same price too. It just depends really who's got stock of your size when you need them.

There has been a huge drop in prices due to low sales, in turn due to high U.K temps; since I put mine on in Nov, the temperture has rarely been below 8C . Mytyres prices have been dropping steadily as a result.
