Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Right. That's it. I'm never going to Cairngorm! Is that the only T-bar in the world where you get off whilst it's still going uphill and it swings back at you, rather than away Puzzled

maggi, it's flat just that there's loads of beginners and people not thinking about what they're doing coming off the lift - the kid with the race bib is about the only one who does it properly. You just have to hang onto the t-bar until it goes round the wheel then hold it up and it retracts away from you, it's actually quite simple as long as you're not distracted by other things like not being able to stand up on your skis etc.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

No it's not the only T-bar in the world like that.

This is recklessness. His view is unhindered and his liability is complete. This is not an accident and shouldn't be viewed as such.

If it wasn't an accident, then you are saying he deliberately chose to ski into her.

There are quite a few people who believe that in English an "accident" means something that was unavoidable, or was nobody's fault. That is simply not true, as a look at any reasonable dictionary will show you.

Any action which results in an unintended (and usually undesirable) outcome is an accident.
