Poster: A snowHead
|
Just attempted to recharge my GM season pass online without success as my hands free card number did not seem to be correct (?). Anyway pfaffed about trying to buy a new one and it was a right pain. Not sure why, maybe because of the language translation through the web page, but I could not enter 2 x adults and 1 x child in one go as the web page kept returning errors.
So, in case anybody may want to buy their passes online (you may need to have a recent photo depending on how long you need a pass for):
Enter one person at a time, move to checkout, enter details and photo (can take a good few minutes for it to load), crop it to fit the window and move on until you find yourself at the personal details and adddress page.
Do not enter details but go back to first page and add another person and work through the process one at a time, then complete personal details, address etc and pay. You will be sent an email after you exit the payment confirmation page.
If you want to collect your pass from Les Carroz telecabine you will have to renew via the Les Carroz website, for other locations, Flaine etc, renew via Grand Massif website, so I understand.
Hope this helps.

Very useful, thanks Basil. I have never renewed our season passes online but have bought one locally at Les Carroz at a visit each November. I am about to renew online (was just waiting as Euro keeps weakening!). Cheers. Hope the predicted rain (on snow-forecast.com) does not arrive.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Renewed my GM pass in Samoens on Saturday. They have changed the system and last years pass was no use other than to trade it in to save the 3euro fee. Season passes now have a unique internet number that will make online renwal easier next year - they say! Courmayeur no longer part of the deal as they have withdrawn fom the Compagnie des Alpes. It has been replaced by Deux Alpes. Hope this helps.

ian999, That would explain why my card number would not work, I have had to order a new card but as you say I can still trade-in my old one for a refund of the 3euro fee (so the website says.
