Hi been to Seefeld about four times. Love it. I could end up writing on essay on Seefeld so its probably better if you ask specific questions. Where abouts are you staying? It really is a lovely place, I have missed it the last couple of years, been doing the Finnish resorts but would go back in a shot.

I went to one half of it (the half with the funicular) 'cos it was free on my lift pass. Sorry (and I feel a bit of a dick) but it was the most boring and bland place I've ever skied! I suggest you stick to the other half of the resort, I hope it's better!

I last skied in Seefeld in 2004. Seefeld is an attractive village. There are two separate skiing areas, as clarky999 says (actually three according to the Ski Seefeld web site but the third one is just a beginners' slope). The area clarky999 mentions is the Rosshütte. I feel he is being rather hard on it; I enjoyed the skiing there. Neither the Rosshütte area nor the other hill, the Gschwandtkopf, are large ski areas but enjoyable for intermediate skiers. There are plenty of other things to do in Seefeld too, like skating or langlauf. Enjoy your holiday!

One other thing: if you are a more advanced skier and want more variety than Seefeld offers, you can buy a Happy Ski Card lift pass which also allows you to ski in Garmisch (and Ehrwald and Leermoos but they are further away, on the far side of Garmisch and probably impractical). If you did want to do that, it might be best to do it near the start of your holiday, for the World Alpine Ski Championships start in Garmisch on 7th February. You can get to Garmisch from Seefeld by train.
If you are a real expert and like challenging off-piste skiing, another possibility is to take a train to Mittenwald and ski the Dammkar run - link in German (if conditions make it safe). You must be properly equipped, with avalanche search transceiver, etc.
