tonights off slope activities include learning to juggle, juggling on a balance board thingy, and last on the list of highjinks is "Dirty Cheerleading" featuring long lost SnowHead CheekyGirl who is on the course, (we arent saying who she is but only two birds on the course.... and she likes pink jackets and giggling...

Wow, I checked out the facebook pics, fantastic, its nice to see photos from the snowy mountain tops and see the nice green meadows below that most of us never normaly see. I have skied Tignes/VD twice and have never really looked at photos like that.
Very nice
Its got me interested in having a summer visit. Whats the best way of going about booking a summer trip to Tignes.

Renry, we are working with Mountain Sun who provide the accommodation and airport transfers for our coaching trips to Tignes. Lots of accommodation choices at this time of year, but Mountain Sun are difficult to beat on price.

kitenski, snow depth? Better than last year thanks to the snowfall in early June. If you're planning on coming out, get here soon. As the scorching summer sun gets on the glacier conditions do deteriorate.

Today was even better than yesterday, the snow didn't soften quite so much (a harder freeze over night), sunshine all morning and no wind. Perfect.

All the race clubs are gone and we had about 50 French ski instructors taking exams in groups of 8, was cool to see what they work on. Very sunny today and a bit warmer, up to 6 deg at 3000M and 18 at base but held real well and we got a full session in.

Thankyou , that does indeed look just the job. Im sure plenty of other ski resorts offer such trips however I am really interested inseeing Tignes in the summer to compare it to winter.

Assisted rock climbing would be a good description. There are permanent cables, rungs and things like that attached to the route to assist the climb, and you are attached by a safety harness at all times. Will post some amazing photos of this afternoon's outing shortly.

via ferrata is just a rock climbing route with fixed ladders or paths
