Pretty sure I have a school pic from Niederau 1977 somewhere. I'll have to find it, scan it in and post it. The leather ski boots with metal clips and leg leashes are quite amusing.

Interesting question, I've been hunting for evidence and I reckon I need to find and scan in real photos to do this. On the basis of one or two group shots in the 'scans' directory on my older desktop, I reckon I need to turn up photos from approx 1991

Actually the filing system is better than I realised, and within 5 mins of looking I have turned up the necessary photo album and found several of me during my first week on skis - will scan in some later, but I not going to post the somewhat un-necessary shot that was taken of the rear end of me disappearing up the baby rope tow - most cruel!!

This is far from my first time on skis - I started at 4 and in this pic I was around 13. But it'll have to do as it's one of the earliest I have when skiing. It also earns extra points for the cable bindings (and I'm under 40!)
