Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

jdawg50, welcome to snowHead snowHeads snowHead
Would we be right in thinking from the 'dawg' and the content of your 1st post here that you're on the western side of the 'pond' ??

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'll believe it when I see it. There are new proposals like this every year, but few of them ever make it to reality. Moonlight Basin in Idaho, which opened in 2003 was the first new destination resort since Utah's Deer Valley opened in 1981.

Moonlight Basin in Idaho

Really was quite a waste of money. Not exactly challenging vast or challenging terrain.

As someone form the East side of the pond I wouldn't recommend a specific visit.

Is that the Moonlight Basin in Montana or another similarly named resort?

Moonlight Basin (http://www.moonlightbasin.com/) is in Montana, Tamarack (http://www.tamarackidaho.com/) is in Idaho. Both have opened in the last couple of years and are the first new ski areas since the Yellowstone Club (opened 2000) to be started up in the US.
The future "Minturn ski area" mentioned at the beginning of this thread will be a private, home-owners-only ski area, presumably similar in principle to the Yellowstone Club.
