Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Loved Ischgl - where next?

Poster: A snowHead
I'm just back from Ischgl and although the resort itself has it's ...er... issues, I loved the skiing - especially the large selection of steep black pistes that had character and variety.

Given the above, where else would snowHead 's recommend? (in Europe)

red 27, St Anton should do it for you - but like marmite, you either love it or hate it Very Happy

Gsyfreerider, huge groups of bavarian stags steaming pi$$ed at 7.00pm, more strip clubs than restaurants - all that stuff

red 27, I'm not that fussed by the Bavarian stags at least they don't seem to want to kick off when they've had a few like other nationalites. Anyway if you wait around long enough the strip clubs turn into restaurants!. Shatzi is a classic example, at 4pm it is heaving with bevvied up Austrians and Germans letching at the girls dancing on the bars flashing their knickers. By 8pm it has been transformed into a romantic restaurant with couples gazing at each other having candlelight dinner - truly miraculous. Lech is nice by the way, lots more low key apres than SA or Ischgl but great skiing.

Gsyfreerider, The Shatzi isn't a classic example. A lot of the bars turn into restaurants post apres ski but during apres are normal apres ski bars, not strip clubs and while the girl's clothing in the Shatzi leaves little to the imagination the girls do not strip. The other clubs that red 27 mentions are not strip clubs in the traditional sense but lap dancing clubs, mostly attached to upmarket hotels.

IncogSkiSno, Thanks - Killy is on the list, although I am no francophile. I thought Ishgls steeps were better and more extensive than St A's - but perhaps I need to expore there again.
