Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Got the last hour in at Verbier on Friday afternoon. There was 10cm of fresh from Thursday night on the 30-40cm from Monday. Excellent conditions off the top of the Funispace. First outing of the season for the Kuro's.
There was decent snow down to Medran although the off piste got very heavy below 2000m.
Was on route to Val Thorens so drove through Chamonix. Grands Montets looked to have decent cover
Mont Blanc hidden in the cloud on the left
Val Thorens had a reasonable dump on Thursday and Friday. Driving the last bit up the hill from Les Menuires was a bit treacherous with everyone putting chains on in a blowing gale.
Nice to wake up to this on Saturday morning
Almost everything was open. Here's the new 6 man chair from Rosael. It's fast!
Decent snow right down to St Martin
Dave in the Kuro tracks off the side of Caron
The snow here was fantastic. A good foot deep where it had drifted.
French Onion Soup at Les Deux Lacs
Mottaret link open. Great snow over this side too
Pam W - not so ugly?
Mont Blanc in the background
Weather turned on Saturday evening with the wind blowing in and limited viz on Sunday. Scoured the south facing pistes. Took a chance and put the first tracks in the Lac du Lou. A few rocks but the sheltered pitches were superb. Got out via the Cumin and a short walk up the hill to the Reberty bubble.
The new covered travelator. Clearly built for boarders to chill!
Started snowing on Sunday evening but driving down the hill it was rain beneath 2200m. Was pretty heavy so should be fantastic on the higher slopes this week!

Great pics, thanks.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I enjoyed that and I love the skis, 132 underfoot, I really hope that we have a season where they are the WOP (weapon of choice)
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

rambotion
, this is early December with 80cm of snow on the mountain and they were perfect. They are most definitely the weapon of choice whatever the weather Gods have in store!
