Ive been on several bus websites and put on several stations to change at but still can not find anything, I thought there would be a bus going from cluses to chamonix but i cant find anything.
Much Appreciated

tee1, May be better using the train from Cluses to Cham via Sallanches.
My cousin did it that way last summer, so it must be possible in the winter.
Alternative is to go to GVA and change at the airport, but probably a bit more expensive. We have 3 SAT buses per day to/from Morzine, and 5 on Saturday. Hope that helps.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

tee1, there isn't a direct one. You may be able to do so changing at Cluses (or possibly Taninges). Otherwise it's Geneva. Or a train as Paul suggests.

Via the airport might also workout via shared airport transfers book a cheap shared morzine to GVA then shared GVA to Chamonix. Bit of a long way round but could be done for about 50 € with some cheap companies.
Or bus Morzine to Cluses as mentioned above.

A search on www.sncf.com showed trains from Cluses to Chamonix. Although, I only looked briefly, but it looks like you can only search for trains in French, once you click the button to make the site English speaking, the timetable search box disappears.
If you can't figure it out in French, then try looking at www.seat61.com It's a website with information about public transport seemingly for everywhere... You might find what you need on there.

We have done the train from Cluses to Chamonix just to see what it was like a couple of years ago - in the summer though. Drove down to the station and parked - chap in the ticket office spoke immaculate English too, and the station and platforms were being constantly swept.
Another thought - would the tourist office in Chamonix be able to advise on any buses.

tee1, there is also (or at least there was in 1991 (!)) a car hire office in Morzine, Might be cheaper to hire a dinky one one way assuming there's a corresponding one in cham

Train, Cluses to Le Feyette, and then the mini rail up to Chamonix. I think it will take you about 2 hrs..

Shameless plug: Use www.morzexpress.com from Morzine to Geneva Airport then www.chamexpress.com from Geneva Airport to Chamonix. Total trip cost 50 Euros (as someone said above) and should take you about 3 hours if you get the timings right.
Hope this helps!
Cheers.

Cheers for all your help guys. I cant believe this journey is such a faff considering morzine is only an hour from chamonix. I think I will just have to try blag a lift when i'm there as the bus/train combo has at least 3 changes and is about 3 hours. The transfer option is just too expensive to consider really as I only want to head over for a 1 day course.
