Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi All
I can confirm the official partners of The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead are as follows:
HEAD ski equipment (our instructors and rental department)
Snow and Rock specialist retailer on site with a 8000 square foot shop.
Colombia outdoor clothing (as worn by our instructors and slope patrol)
Otztal ski area Tirol Austria
The Edge cafe bar (our bar upstairs)
We have an agreement to work with and promote all our patners and have chosen these partners as we see them as the leading brands (an we own the EDGE bar and think its great)! Our instructors carry the logos of of partners on the arms of the uniforms.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

gilleski, could you clarify how this 'promotion' is to take place? Are instructors and other employees of The Snow Centre expected to promote the partners when acting in an official capacity (ie giving lessons), for example suggesting solely Snow and Rock as the place to buy kit? How about when off-duty but when other people are aware that they are employees, ie instructors?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

That includes Obergurgl / Horchgurgl, doesn't it?
Went there over Xmas for the first time and had wicked time ... I thought it was a relatively well kept secret judging by the lack of lift queues and empty slopes ... but looks like that's going to change with all this advertising!

abj you may want to also give Sölden a look too, which is only a stone's throw from Obergurgl - http://www.soelden.com/main/EN/SD/WI/index.html
There's some good glacier skiing to be had in Sölden as well as the normal slopes

Sleipnir, I managed to fit in a day at Solden when we were in Obergurgl (the lift pass allows one day's skiing there) - and had a really nice time.
Didn't make it to the Glacier area, due to high winds closing the higher lifts. But the snow was amazing throughout the area - so it wasn't a great loss.
