Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looks to me as though most people have stayed at home today, and the roads are very quiet.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I travelled out to Les Arcs and there was almost no impact. I was a bit worried about the flight as French ATC could have screwed up my travel plans altogether, but we flew from Heathrow with just the usual 20 minute delay. The traffic was a bit slow through Annecy as the police were closing a few roads because of a demo by strikers, but no more than a 10 minute delay. Other than that no impact on my travel. Don't know if there was any disruption to the operation of the lifts here in Les Arcs, but there were plenty of people skiing when I arrived at about 5.15pm.

Flight from Chambery to Manchester diverted to Grenoble because of air traffic controllers..................................
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

A colleague who normally has a 1hr10min commute to work by car managed it in 25mins this morning! She wants a strike every day now
Most people around us stayed at home as teachers were also either unable to get to work or on strike so lots of class disruption.

Well most of the runs in St Lary were closed today (weather and conditions fine) so I think the strike is having a fairly devastating effect on French skiing
