Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Testing in Tignes

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm off to Tignes in 2.5 weeks (and counting Smile ) and want to try out some new skis when I'm there. Precision ski have a ski test section on their website but don't say what brands they stock. I will really only have 1 full day and perhaps a couple of afternoons to try new skis as I am doing a course with inspired to ski in the mornings so somewhere that did ski testing as apposed to just hiring skis for the day then swapping them would be good, any recomendations?

lynseyf, Hi there. I will be doing exactly the same thing and am also on the Inspired to Ski course 13-20 December. We've decided this year we will buy skis.

I have emailed Precision and Ski Set to enquire about the ones I'm looking at. I would like to hire Dynastar skis and plan to start off on one type for a couple of days and then swop on to the others mid-week to see how I get on. Apparently, if you end up buying skis I'm told they deduct the hire charge off the cost.

Staying in Le Lac. I am quite happy with my skis so plan to do the course on them but would like to get a fatter pair to do more off piste. I would like to spend my "day off" trying some so don't think a normal hire shop would be happy with me trying 4 pairs of skis in 1 day and obviously the nearer the piste the better. Precision only had a few models on their webpage.
