Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Advice on Insurance deals for individuals

 Poster: A snowHead

Hey ski fans!

I've been reading previous threads on this forum on the topic of insurance, but most of the discussion seemed to be for families or for people who are far more advanced at skiing than I am!

I'm verging on calling myself an 'intermediate skier' so I don't plan on going off-psite this year but I'm looking for something to give me good cover for the following:

1 week in Bulgaria
3 days in Alps
A total of around 5 days skiing in the UK

Any suggestions would be most appreciated

For the Bulgarian and Alps insurance, you could go for cheap skiing insurance on-line -single-trip insurance for each. Think about including off-piste cover, though. For example, if you are in a class that's progressing well, do you really want to tell your instructor you don't want to try off-piste with the rest of the class?

Tricky one for the UK. Last time I skiied in Scotland, rescue was free. Probably, someone will advise you if it'snot, now. However, it does raise the quuestion of 3rd party liability. You might want to see if you can look at extending your house policy cover. As I have an annual policy, I don't think specifically about UK cover thesse days.

For the cost of going to annual cover, you would be free from worry, and also be covered for your summer holidays. I think I would go for that.
