When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I suspect the flights have already gone from the winter schedule - a route/time I have booked a number of times before had disappeared from the schedules. Sad

fatbob, just what I was thinking, that it wasn't new cuts, but that they had already been made when the winter schedule was announced.

I think in general most airlines will cut routes/regularity - certainly BA, easyjet, and Ryanair have done so to ski destinations. Aviation fuel is now 93% higher in price than around 13/14 months ago with no long term forecasts to change. Fuel accounts for around 30% of the flight price so essentially flying should be around 30% more expensive. Airlines will swallow a certain amount of this but that wont last for ever there will be a drip drip drip of higher prices. Guess we have to be prepared for the end of cheap flights and the choice we have been used to over the last few years. Crying or Very sad Perhaps this is divine intervention to prevent global warming as let's face it we wont do it ourselves unless their is an economic implication wink
