Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Dear Each and All, newbie here, I am off to Saalbach in a couple of weeks, for a trip with the family. For reasons too strange to relate here I am going to drive down, overnight at Munich have one free day, stop over at Salzburg airport pick up family on early flight and drive to Saalbach. I like to board, where should I head to for a days boarding?

many thanks

Tom

Tom-B, welcome to snowHeads snowHead

Have a look at Ski Amade. I can't recall from memory which is the nearest bit to Salzburg....but someone else here will.

Tom-B, Flachau is 40 mins - straight off the A10 - no fussing! Or 5 more mins there is my local piste Radstadt - again, easy roads. Or there is FlachauWinkel - next turn off the motorway past Flachau, you can get to Zauchensee from there. Loads to choose from. Have fun. Very Happy

Agree with flangesax, but for one day, would specifically recommend Zauchensee. But Flachau itself would be great too! Another option would be Alpendorf/Wagrain.

Tom-B, straight down the A10 for 45 mins, take the FlachauWinkl exit, you will then practically fall into the car park! Ski up and over into Zauchensee - its dead easy for a quicky. Very Happy
