Poster: A snowHead

Trying to sort out our overnight stay for our return journey in April and looking at the B&B chain in St Quentin recommended by some on here.
Is there anywhere to eat within walking distance? Drivers will be wanting to dump cars at hotel for the nigh t and have a beer/wine with dinner.

I've stayed there with the family and there is a Buffalo Grill just up the road. If you look on Google maps then there are a few restaurants even closer.
We love B&B hotels...the kids especially love their breakfasts!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We use Hotel Kyriad in St Quentin. It is a bit quieter than the other budget hotels and is a 2 minute walk to buffalo grill.

Thanks, we booked the B&B. Is the Buffalo Grill within walking distance? It didn't look like it on google maps, but I did read that there were restaurants within walking anyway. It might well be that we stop for a quick bit before we arrive at hotel actually due to time.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I'm afraid that I cannot remember as it was a few years ago.
Just stayed in the Calais B&B...usual good value for money and service. Great chain.

@Gilly28, I think the limiting factor is whether there are footpaths, I don't think there are any on the road back to the Auchan supermarket.

Yip that's what I thought looking at google. no worries it says there are restaurants in walking distance. If not we just need to eat before we get to hotel and make sure we have a bottle of vino and a few beers to finish off the night!

Check out Hotel Le Florance. An independent budget hotel right in the heart of town with private parking. I've used them a few times to break journeys and rooms are basic but clean and the main square is only a 5 minutes walk away and full or restaurants.

Ive had a look at that one and booked a couple of rooms, and will speak to friends to see which they prefer, I like the sound of Le Florence, but we may not get to hotel till around 8-9 at night so might be best eating en route and we wouldn't see much of the town anyway, however it does have a bar... plus even being able to walk into town for a couple of drinks sounds good and nice to see St Quentin. One thing though reviews say small car park and as we will be arriving late I'm worried we wouldn't get a space.

Hi we've stayed there a couple of times. There is a buffalo grill and another grill fairly close but you can't really walk there because off the dual carriageway. There is a restaurant Crocodile that you can walk to which we use last time. It's only 5 mins away and was fine. The car parks not huge but neither is the Hotel so we've not had trouble parking. If you use the B&B chain Ive found the app is quite good and will give you info on restaurants close by
