Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I do not take fotos on the hill anymore. I stopped some years ago.

Ones I have posted (early & end of season conditions) in previous seasons I had to remove (contacts sensitive).

Others taken from regions around the World have been taken down or lost by admin.

Thanks for your understanding in advance

Well, hopefully someone on this thread will post actual photos of themselves skiing or riding in the Arlberg! Assuming they do ski and ride in the Arlberg...Carry on with all the banter about the snow in the Arlberg. I'm quite jealous!

Anyone know how do you post a video? Not quite the Arlberg, but the Bregenzerwald down the road. I don't imagine the Arlberg has *less* snow though.

Not sure if this is then correct place to post such a query so apologies in advance, in any case my question is with the new gondola links to Leck and zurs etc from looking at the piste map it would appear that returning from leck/zurs to st Anton is not possible on skis i.e. You need to take two rides on the new gondola's and then a chair lift in order to be able to ski back.....am I correct or am I missing something? Heading out in three weeks time. Will it be possible to ski at all with all the snow that continues to keep falling this season....😊😊

@Sneachta2013,
You are correct, you need to take the Tritkopf, Flexen and Valfagehr lifts in a row without skiing

So probably not a lot faster than taking the bus....? Surely a new piste to cut out at least the down hill ride on the gondonla would have been worth it....? Or is such a piste/ski route planned??

No such a piste is not planned. Would take two more lifts since there is another valley in between.
Also creating new pistes is very difficult because of Austrian environmental laws. (lifts is easier!)

@Sneachta2013,

We do not want anymore white autobahns

Stop the Brutal Grooming..

They built the lifts so use it. Bus will cost you additional money . Busses pollute.

'Langer-zug'....What's with the 'langer' part to your pseudo-nom....? Are you a cork wannabe...?

StAnton....apologies for asking the question......one white autobahn would surely Overall reduce the number of people using the gondola/lifts....? I thought the bus was covered by the lift pass??

One last query. Is a trip to 'wurth' wurth it....? Staying in St Anton so from the piste map it's a long treck but there seems to be a lot of reds etc....I've been to st Anton on 3 previous occasions but never ventured to wurth/zug. Did make it to sonnenkof which was good.

@Sneachta2013,
Langerzug is a skiroute in Lechchchch Toofy Grin
For many coming from St.Anton, Warth is too far, making the day a bit stressfull
Another lift-lift connection too by the way

@Langerzug,

In Zug next weekend. I see run 177 is still closed. Is this due to avalanche risk and any idea when it might be open?

@puplett, Yes, due to avalanche risk. Was closed all the time last week. Current weather predictions leave little room for optimism I'm afraid.
The area around Zugertobel skiroute is very avalanche-sensitive. It is where the Dutch prince died. In fact it is the only reason why this easy path is marked as a skiroute: The skilifts are unable to guarantee it is open.

@puplett, not sure. But isn't a very attractive option anyway, because the base station is located below the houses of Zug, you would need to climb a steep path to get home.
Alternative is the very challenging Zuppert route (178), but this one is also often closed for same reasons.
The skibus from Lech to Zug is very good, takes 5 minutes and a very frequent schedule.

@Sneachta2013,

A trip to Warth is definitively warth it, I preferred the Skiing in Warth over Lech. The link lift is very quick
