No buttons for a PSB yet, so just in case anyone needs to get something sorted...
A few of us already have a week sorted in Val d'Isere for the opening week - still some space on that. We went to Chalet Nanouk with Project Ski last year (2nd time) - it is superb. It's a proper grown up chalet with fantastic food and excellent ambiance
Those going at the mo' are Me, eeyore, Scampidellahanti, Tarquin and Bladeskier (unfortunately we've lost a couple since we booked due to work etc). We potentially have space for 5 or 6 more depending on the sharing arrangements
Chalet Nanouk: top posh chalet catering, cheap lift passes, minibus to and from the lifts, inc La Daille to pick up after apres. Costs coming in at £406 for a shared room, £599 for single occupancy (depending on numbers) plus discounted transfers (about £75 return, maybe less) and cheap ski pass. 1 x twin room and 2 x doubles remaining. This is for 8 nights in the chalet, 7 nights chalet catering including wine.
-Daily breakfast (chefs special cooked option on 6 days)
-Afternoon tea - cakes, bread, preserves and complementary hot drinks
-Three course evening meal served with wine
-Cheese course with a glass or two of port
-Pre-dinner drinks and canapes on your first and last night
We are travelling on Friday 25th Nov, return Sat 3rd December and will get 7 days skiing. There might be a deal on lessons too.

@chocksaway, definitely - always up for that! If the PSB is to be the 3rd Dec then an opportunity for folk to do the opening week in Val d'Isere then transfer round to Tignes for the PSB

All booked up and already over excited. Has there been much open on previous opening weeks? We've not been to Val D before and I'm currently killing time in an airport by staring at a piste map. Can't really work out which areas are most likely to be open.

@Valkyrie, yay! Last year everything was open. The previous year it was only the glacier ..it was poor everywhere...the year before that everything was open....it's the mountains so keep everything crossed!

@Valkyrie,
I've done a few opening weeks/long weekends in Val d'Isere and Tignes
2015 (went a few days after opening weekend) very good and links open
2014 only the glacier/Pisallas was open but I went over to the Tignes glacier one day by car for a change of scenery and skied some runs that normally aren't open during peak winter but I could also ski all the way down to Val Claret - did have to dodge a few bits of grass at the bottom.
2013 Brillant, one of my best trips
2012 Lots and Lots of snow, when its past your knees leaving the boot room it's going to be interesting!
2016 Fingers crossed
