Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

It's certainly not ideal but there IS stuff you can do. How confident a skier are you? The quality of skier in the Arlberg is generally high and folk ski fast, and sometimes close, too close IMO sometimes to learners. I'd say you'd be fine if you are planning some lessons, if you're planning on a DIY day you may find it quite daunting if you aren't prepared to push yourself. It's your call, I'd say go for it but that's just me, there's plenty up on Kapall, Osthang on Galzig and some of Rendl if you are a confident learner......but it's not for tge faint hearted. It'll be busy by the way, expect crowded pistes and a few queues.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@anantg, some of the slopes on the way down to St Christoph are long and gentle, and they're generally less busy than the mostly gentle slopes on the way into St Anton. However, St Anton seems to have a weird effect on testosterone levels which makes ordinary skiers think that they're great skiers because they've heard it's a resort for 'experts' so they must be expert skiers. Consequently there is a lot of muppetry and out of control skiing going on above the resort itself. A quick link by ski and bus to Lech/Zurs (included in your lift pass) will see you on less crowded slopes and fewer skiers with 'attitude'.

@anantg, the piste skiing in St Anton is much like any other resort. Avoid the home runs in the afternoon as they get overcrowded.
as mentioned above, Rendl is great area

There are far more suitable places. I'm not a beginner but I still found the busyness and aggression on the slopes in St Anton a bit daunting when I skied a day there. Why are you thinking of St Anton?

St Anton does act as a great tw*t drain, sucking in all testosterone charged males within quite a large radius, leaving places like Lech and Igshl with a lovely atmosphere.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@anantg, @Corky's suggestion of Ischgl is a good one. The apres is just as good (though less British) but the resort is more beginner friendly than St Anton.
