Well, I enjoyed the trailer enormously but I must confess I'd had enough after a couple of minutes. Skiing loses some of its appeal when you can't see the mountains or the snow. I wonder how long the whole thing is going to be. Those suits certainly chuck out a huge amount of light.

Afterglow is being hailed as one of the most cinematically profound ski movies ever made. |
Well that might be pushing it a bit, and the word 'gimmick' certainly never crossed my mind. Well, not more than a couple of dozen times. Fun trailer anyway.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The puff piece describing it "as the most cinematically profound ski movie ever" lost me, to be honest. Also all of Dave's porn links were a bit over the top.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Ah ... thanks for that, Richard. Always interesting to source the sources of originality. Comparing the two videos and credits [taken from the respective video blurbs] ... [and I wonder if Philips were involved in the first film] ...

Original or not, it's still quite fun.

Saw the full edit at iF3 London. It is spectacular.. but I couldn't shake off the notion that it's just a massive advert.

Ha ha, I just spotted this and copied the link to share it, it's so ethereal. It is an advert.

Bit in the commuter-rag Metro about litebrite - the movie today. Apparently it's the first ski movie shot entirely in the super high definition format - 4K. You can download it, see it at at a number of screenings at the snowdomes soon... or go into any Philips Ambiglow TV showroom and ask to see it on demo on one of their everso lovely Philips 4K tellys.
Advert, oh yes, but not for lightbulbs...
