ok so I live in the west of Ireland, and nice snow gear is not available in our shops, I could drive to Dublin for a look, but will get more of the same. I just fancy looking at new jackets, nothing wrong with the one I have it's a spyder plain white with lots of pockets and bits and bobs that are handy, . So I am not in an emergency for a new jacket. I have looked at snow and rock, but I can imagine that you lot will have lots of ski gear shops online that you can mention. I could wait till I get to Austria, but I would rather ski than look in the shops, ifkwim. Just picking your brains.

Have a look at LD Mountain Centre. They are my local shop in Newcastle upon Tyne and I always get a great service from them so happy to recommend.

Trespass website biddpyat - though being a Spyder-wearer it may not be expensive or exclusive enough for you .
Mrs MA got a jacket and trousers from there for last season and - after road testing them in the Alps and Scotland - swears by them. I got a waterproof Trespass soft shell (from TK Maxx not the website) - and it's so far so good for that too.
