Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

LOCAL CHX is a ski and board rental shop based in Chamonix. We specialise in a delivery and chalet fitting service but also rent direct from our store.

The shop is open from 8am to 8pm and we deliver from 07:30 until midnight so staff are expected to be flexible and accommodate long demanding hours if required.

We work hard and play hard, we have high standards but work on a shift basis so you have plenty of time ride as much as you can, that is what we are all here for.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Ski Technician, Shop Assistant & Delivery Driver
(15-35hrs per week)

We believe that all staff should be able to work in all aspects of the business so your role is likely to be varied. Previous experience in ski hire would be useful however full training we be given to a suitable person. The most important thing is your personality, and the ability to work as part of a team (and maybe sometimes under pressure).

We are looking for people who are reliable, conscientious and have a polite manner.

The role will include the day to day running of the shop, boot fitting & ski fitting both in shop and in chalets, telephone enquiries, email & web order processing and equipment servicing amongst others.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must have UK work visa or passport
• Must be eligible to work in UK and/or France
• Conversational French highly desired
• Must be able to reside in France
• Must be available to drive a manual vehicle legally in the UK & France (minimum 2 years experience)
• Must be computer proficient
• Must be fit & healthy as the role
is physically demanding
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills
• English fluency is mandatory
• No ski rental experience is necessary but keen skiers or boarders are preferred.
• Must be good with time keeping
• Must be friendly, well mannered and personable

We're also looking for a dedicated SKI TECH to work evenings. MUST have past experience.
