Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yes. They are soooo expensive to so many options that no one ever buys them and no one ever reviews them either. Plus "peeps" get worried that other "peeps" will replace the Ds in NordWand with a K with would create a Nork Wan*. So paying a lot to look like a funny fellow would be pretty uncool!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

On a positive note.
I got some sealskin winter gloves for last season, they aren't that warm but they are completely waterproof. This means they are great for carrying skis, and even better for getting the snow off the car. My hands don't get cold except if my gloves get wet/damp so these really worked for me.

Always used cheap gloves. Was a shop closing down in Morzine at the end of last season with 60% off most things, so treated myself to a pair of Hestra Helis. We'll see if they are any better than my old 15 quid work gloves/fleece liners...
Problem with pricey gloves is losing them in après ski bars. These have a strap to attach them to tour jacket, so hopefully are drunken moron proof...
