spyderjon, Not sure it will be the same though next year with standard availability, and if they drop the price there will be some sore clients.

people want it first and will have to pay, sure it will sting a bit when the price drops (which as you say will no doubt happen) but if they want to be in that select few, the price will be paid

spyderjon, have they tried to standardise the delta angle on the beasts, do you need to shim em to be flat delta?

There's 6mm delta on the Beasts when using a Dynafit boot which could vary a tad with another brand of boot as there's no industry standard for the location of the tech inserts etc. So assuming a horizontal topsheet on the ski (which there never is) then on paper a 6mm shim under the toe will get you flat but depending on the skis taper/thickness were the bindings are located it could easily be a mm or two more or less. On my Llasas a 5mm shim gets my Cochise boot level.
Dunno why they went for a 6mm delta but it is at least waaaay less than on their Rads/Verts. If they were being really clever it would be to match the 6mm delta that's on a Duke/Baron when used with an AT boot as that's a major proportion of their target market & it'll seem very similar in that respect.

Beasts stock arrived today but was all pre-sold ages ago. The good news is that I've managed to secure some additional pairs so after filling my reserve list I'll another five pairs of 'em with 120mm brakes available (good for skis 85-122mm'ish underfoot) in the next couple of weeks so if anyone's interested I'd recommend jumping in quickly.

Quite surprised freezeproshop is selling them, wouldn't have thought they'd have a huge market for them.

Give away a free 12mm cable lock to go with them. I wouldn't leave those babies outside a hut unlocked

But anything that turns up on the market that's had the number ground out is going to be easily spotted/traced etc.

spyderjon, Yup, and it's not like someone could ski off in them in alpine boots either.
