I've got a few days off this week and thinking about trying to go skiing. Any suggestions of cheap getaways to be back on Friday this week?

glp9, Hintertux (17 lifts open including the Sommerberg ones) is looking good as is Stubai (also 17 lifts open), so cheap flights to Munich and then either car hire or trains to Jenbach (for Hintertux) or Innsbruck (Stubai). Accommodation is relatively cheap as well right now as it is between seasons so to speak.

To start off, maximise your skiing per night of stay by taking a late flight back which allows you to ski all day first (eg 21.45 from Geneva). Obviously self-catering is cheaper than hotel or catered chalet but perhaps there would be a problem doing less than a week.
Just for cost, a last-minute offer from a TO where they are trying to fill empty space is the best - so long as you are not too bothered where you ski as long as it still has snow and lifts open (and they are unlikely to sell ski packages for anywhere after the lifts close!)

What Samerberg Sue said. Stubai is in great condition atm, Neustift just down the valley is probably the cheapest for accommodation, though there is some up at the glacier too.

We're off to Stubai Gletscher on Thurs - returning next Tues : accommodation in Dresdner Hutte (half way between a hostel & hotel) at top of 1st cable at 2,308m and is only 51eu for half-board (46eu for alpine club members)

glp9, i had a trip to tignes planned for today till friday , three nights with mountian sun inc breakfast , dinner , lift pass, transfer from gva, and ski hire £179.00 + 84.00 EZ flights , cheap as chips
