Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This was our favourite, easily:

friendly, efficient, delicious, massive portions, convenient.

Also enjoyed Ble Noir in the old town. Genepi nearby had good food but awful service.

The worst, easily, was Pic Blanc self service near the DMC. Maybe the worst restaurant I've ever been to!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

dsoutar, hopefully not too late - La Cremaillere. Had an incredibly tasty rib of beef there about 2 years ago, cooked in wood fired oven. Not cheap, and for minimum of 2 people unless you are a sumo, but well worth it.

This place was OMG good. http://www.le-rendezvous.net/les-entreacutees.html
The cheese starter exploded cheese goo when you prodded it.
The duck main was divine.
and the chocolate nemesis...

You will regret not going there first so you can go again. We went twice the week we were there.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

dsoutar, from a TR I did in 2010:

recommended by a seasonaire to La Dahut in the town. Plenty of character with a traditional menu. Four of us went there with an average cost per head of €35 for 2 courses, cheese, 2 bottles of red and 2 glasses of white, water, coffee and complimentary Genepi. Good recommendation.

If eating on the mountain:

La Grange - a fab pizza restaurant at L’Alpette

It tends to get busy at peak times (so probably OK now). Well worth a visit IMO - charming, good service and outstanding pizza.
