Poster: A snowHead

Hello skiers,
well, I'll buy new skis, and I have to choose between Elan Amphibio Waveflex 14 and Fischer RC4 Superior Racetrack. I have a high level of ski, my height is 1,78m and my weight, 63kg. I want them for piste, but I don't get rid of the idea of going off-piste some days.
Thank you so much, I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Darincal, You've been ignored, which isn't fair, welcome to SH's.
I can't really help you as I don't know about the Fishers, but as an early intermediate skier happy on reds, I skied last holiday on a set of Amphibios Waveflex 12's (a tad narrower than the 14's, but a similar idea). As no-one else has pitched in maybe my experience might help a little.
FWIW I liked them, I had come off of a set of Magfires 78 Ti's and I felt that the amphibios were no lighter, in fact they surprised me with their weight. They were fairly stiff skis's nimble with a good turning circle and as fast as I wanted them to be. I certainly wasn't going to come close to what they could do. I did try them on opposite feet in the powder snow and felt that there was an appreciable difference and it was worth doing in those conditions. In terms use off-piste I think the 14's would be better than the 12's due to their greater width. However, the 12's were fine in deep powder, they have nice wide tips and tails and that is only to the good in deeper snow.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

hello Darincal, I have used rc4 superior's, very much a piste only ski, and heavy with the flowflex plate on them. I enjoyed them, but not as much as my old rc4 race sc, which were much more lively. If you want to do a bit of dabbling off piste the rc4 superior is not the ski really.
