When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lange RX 100 - Thermo fit RL1 liners!

Hi, I've just bought a pair of Lange RX100 2013 boots with Thermo fit RL1 liners. I didn't get them heated in the shop as I ran out of time. Some say the Thermo fit system is a gimick and will shorten the life of the liners? I can't decide whether to go back with them for heating. I was getting ankle pain in my old boots so want to do the right thing? Any advice... Puzzled

difficult to tell without seeing your feet, heating the liners really just beds them in a bit, a little like skiing them a day or 2, some people don't bother and don't have any problems for other people applying a little bit of pressure padding on any tight spots and heating the liners can make all the difference
