When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Australian aerial skiers blame US water jump for run of knee injuries

Australia's elite aerial skiing squad - tipped for freestyle medals at the Turin Winter Olympics next February - have been jinxed by injuries on a water ramp at Lake Placid, USA, where they were training.

Six of the 11 skiers involved had knee reconstructions following incidents involving the ramp. The team had gone there following issues at Park City, Utah, where rival teams were taking a keen interest in their training methods.

Now, the problems have prompted calls for a training facility to be built in Australia.
