Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of advice - I'm female, 34, intermediate, 5ft 3, 9 stone. Until now I've been mostly on piste and messing around at the side of the piste. I'm not a particularly agressive skier, love the steeps and hope to progress into more powder. I've been looking at all mountain skis and demo'd some at the weekend and I loved the Atomic Affinity Storm. I tried out the 159cm which is longer than I've been skiing on up until now. They took a little getting used to, but I felt comfortable and stable on them - do they sound too long for me? 151cm is closer to what I've been skiing on, but will they quickly feel too short as I progress?

SLB79, I think head height for all mountain would be a guide.
