Probably - but you won't be able to bring your own. You'll have to go to a State Certified Helmet Fitter, who will only be found working in the shop that the mayor's uncle and brother-in-law own. Only French brands will be available, so the equivalent of the Aldi £20 helmet will cost €45 a week to rent and will take 2 hours to have fitted.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Would be funnier if the percentage of helmet wearers amongst French skiers wasn't so low. You'll have to do better than that, chaps.

You can always spot the English skiers in Les Arcs. The majority wear helmets and carry rucksacs. I have no idea why.

Boredsurfing, is that another accident, or one on which there have already been comments? It's always sad. French littlies tend to wear helmets but the biggies seem less keen though, as elsewhere, the proportion of helmet wearers seem to rise each year.

Coz they have an interest in safety and have stuff to carry?
Not everyone is all about how sick they look.

Boredsurfing, sounds like he was going at quite a lick to be thrown some distance off the piste and into the trees. Helmets don't make you immortal.

this wasn't a helmet thread, it was just another even more boring "let's make more derogatory jokes about the French" threads. It's a job to know which is more boring. But another skiing death isn't boring - it's sad.
