Poster: A snowHead

Hi, I finally got properly fitted yesterday from a salomon impact 10 size 28.5, to atomic Hawx 120 size 27...the issue is that my beloved Surefoot footbeds are made for the salomons. It looks like a simple enough job with the scissors to trim the top. Has anyone tried doing this?

You got them properly fitted without foot beds?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yes. There are no real bootfitters in Norway, apart from Surefoot...

Trimming with scissors should be okay then. Bit at a time.

Lilledonmarco, I'd imagine your footbeds are made for your feet not the boots. Jst do what the bootfitter does, take the ones that come with the boots out, place them on your custom ones, draw around them and trim to fit with a pair of scissors, trimming the front not the heel part.

So Surefoot made insoles for your boots that were a size and a half too big without telling you they were too big? or did they mention it and you got them made anyway?

1) Take Scissors. 2) Cut them in half lengthways. 3) Go to a good bootfitter and get proper footbeds.
