Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Driving down off the mountains on Saturday afternoon. Any tips re time

We are driving back from vaujany on sat eve and have planned to stay in Grenoble. On the way we were stuck in traffic between Grenoble and vaujany on Saturday am, so want to avoid traffic if poss. How bad is it going to be on Saturday after skiing, or should it be pretty clear around 5pm

Crunchie13, your plan is a good one. I'd be inclined to stay on in the resort for a little while after skiing, maybe get a good early supper. The later you leave the better. By 6 pm most of the "after ski" traffic should have died down.

Last Saturday was clear leaving ADH at 4. More people around this week but I think you'll be fine.

That's what we were going to do, then my husband realised the England France kick-off was at 6pm French time ..... So if we leave at 4.30 or so we could get to Grenoble in time!!!
