Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

CairnGorm Mountain's 12 hour Friday...

Looking good for Friday with a forecast for sunny spells and moderate winds falling light (5 to 10mph) later. CairnGorm is scheduled to be open 8.30am till 8.30pm on Friday (15th Feb). Ptarmigan Bowl will be flood lit, some other tows expected to run till last light fades (last year Ciste Tow run till it was pitch dark)!

Day, afternoon and season tickets valid for the evening session, or you can rock up for the evening, evening tickets available from 5pm at a flat rate of £15.

A beautiful evening on CairnGorm Mountain on Friday, the Top Basin fully open till after 8pm under the lights.

Floodlit sliding in the Top Basin on CairnGorm Mountain is planned for this evening (Mon 18th Feb), evening tickets available for £15 from 5pm. Day and afternoon tickets and season passes also valid.

What a beautiful day it was today! I have never skied faster (helped along by the ice on the M2!) - the air was clear and the sun was sunny. Couldn't stay for the evening - really wish I was up there! THANKS GUYS

Calm, clear and starry night after the last of the colourful dusk glow faded on CairnGorm Mountain on Monday evening. With high pressure set to dominate the weather over Highland Scotland it looks like a fine and settled spell so hopefully another floodlight session later this week - keep an eye out for details.

What a brilliant idea. For the first time you get the impression that cairngorm are stepping up in their operation procedures to get maximum numbers through the doors. Snow cannons and night skiing are brilliant ideas. Now all they need is a few chair lifts...........oh hang on!
